Friends of District 10
My first session as your state senator was a wonderful experience. It was not without it's frustrations, but overall I learned so much and want to thank everyone who continued to show me support. The state of Minnesota still has a lot of good work to do, and together we will get it done. I said after the November elections that I was ready to go to work of the whole district with energy and compassion. I have done that, and look forward to working hard to move the state of Minnesota forward.
I Believe Minnesota is more than just 10,000 lakes. . . it is the best state in the Union. All Minnesotans deserve to be rewarded for their honest, hard work with a living wage and a fair tax system. Minnesota families should expect quality education that gives all citizens the opportunity to reach their potential. Family values should be more than a political slogan. Minnesotans deserve common-sense environmental reforms that guarantee clean and safe air, water, and land. We should feel secure in our homes and safe on our streets and farms. We should expect a strong state but with freedom from government interference in our private and personal lives and with equal opportunity for all Minnesotans.
Who Am I?
I grew up in this district...near Phelps Mill in Maine Township. My Mom and Dad ran a dairy farm and roofing company. I graduated from Battle Lake High School and still have family and friends throughout the district. For 25 years I have been the Sports Director at radio stations in Wadena. My wife Dee and I have raised two boys on our farm near Hewitt in Oak Valley Township.
